Part of our success comes from staying focused on what we do well. We like to say we “stick to our knitting”. The guiding principles make Infotools the success it is, they have always been with us and are at the heart of everything we do. If you like them, we’re sure you will like us.
Our guiding principles:
Work for the greater good
We use our efforts for the greater good. When you work toward what the world desires, the world works with you. More can be achieved without the diversions of self interest. This is why we value teamwork and partnership with our clients.
Directions instead of goals
Life is about the journey. We favour directions instead of goals, since this allows us opportunities to make discoveries along the way. And we are resolute in our directions, which emphasise developing relationships with clients, designing tools that deliver value, and continuous improvement and learning.
Listen for the need, not the want
We listen to clients express their wants, yet our aim is to identify and articulate the underlying need. In our experience, a solution that addresses the need provides more long-term value than simply ticking off a wish list. By meeting the need, we can achieve more.
Profit is not our goal
By focusing on meeting needs and working for the greater good, our service provides unconventional value. Profit is not our goal, it is the by-product of doing good things. And without financial goals or shareholders to appease, we are free to focus our efforts in other areas. We are motivated by a sense of purpose and the conviction that our clients value what we do.
The better we understand our clients, the more we can help. We are a partner to our clients, not just a supplier.
We work with you to make data accessible and simple to use, so you can take charge of your data to make better business decisions. And when we work with clients on their real-world challenges, it sparks ideas for us to develop – creating a mutually beneficial relationship.
Good working relationships are uplifting, enjoyable and fun. And they lead to more good things.
Competition can be a diversion from meeting the needs of our clients. Instead, we focus on doing what we do well, and playing our part in contributing to the bigger picture. Ultimately our aim is to help our clients meet their needs.
We don’t burden ourselves with convention. We’re not trying to be like any other company – instead, we have our own style and a commitment to original thinking.
We do not charge like consultants with hourly rates. This prevents the optimal use of resources, which could make our services more expensive than necessary. Instead, we charge using fees that relates to the value, as well as the allocation of our resources and effort, all to the greater good.
Data is our business. All data and information is handled in the strictest confidence. Every Infotools team member signs a confidentiality agreement as part of their employment to protect the confidentiality of client information.
Our space can be incredibly complex, so we aim to enlighten through simplicity. This is reflected in everything we do, from direct and clear communication and interaction with clients, to elegantly designed databases and tools.
